Wired and wireless internet connectivity will be unavailable from 6-10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, for the 7th floor South at the WVU Health Sciences Center. During this time, Information Technology Services will be replacing and upgrading hardware. All rooms on the floor will potentially be affected.
This upgrade will complete work originally scheduled for Nov. 13 that was unable to be completed. The work has been scheduled for minimal disruption, and WVU Medicine equipment will not be affected. This is part of an ongoing, critical hardware update that began in October and will end in early 2025, affecting approximately 10 data/network closets at the HSC complex. We will announce each planned outage before it occurs.
Faculty, staff and students should not experience any changes after the hardware upgrade is complete. If you experience issues, try rebooting your device. If you continue to have problems, please call the ITS Service Desk at 304-293-4444.
