We are excited to announce that effective July 3, 2019, Chris Hale PharmD and JoeMichael Fusco PharmD were named the new Assistant Unit Coordinators for the Rational Drug Therapy Program (RDTP). They will report to Angela Wowczuk, RDTP Coordinator. Please join us in welcoming them to their new leadership roles. Here are their brief bio-sketches:
Chris Hale is a 2011 graduate from WVU School of Pharmacy and ranked first in his Doctor of
Pharmacy graduating class. He has worked for Rite Aid, now Walgreens, since 2011 and has worked for the Rational Drug Therapy program since 2014 working with the Bureau for Medical Services, PEIA, and the CHIPs programs to provide prior authorization review and determination services as well as providing drug utilization review for the WV Medicaid program. During his time with RDTP, he’s also worked as a student preceptor and participated in the Hepatitis C project ECHO at Ruby Memorial. Chris is currently enrolled in the online hybrid Master of Business Administration program at WVU.
JoeMichael Fusco is a 2014 graduate from WVU School of Pharmacy with his Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He has worked for the Rational Drug Therapy program since 2014 performing clinical reviews for prior authorization for the WV Medicaid, WV PEIA, and WV CHIPS programs as well as performing drug utilization review for the WV Medicaid program. During his time with RDTP, he’s also worked with the Safe and Effective Management of Pain Program on opioid case review authorizations.
