Information Technology Services will decommission the former Health Sciences ITS website on Sunday, May 19, shifting content that remains current and relevant into the updated IT Help Center at it.wvu.edu/help. ITS has been assessing and removing outdated content from the website for several months.

You must log into the IT Help Center with your primary WVU email address before searching for information and/or submitting a form. Logins also help ITS develop analytics on Knowledge Base use, collect more feedback, and continuously improve the self-service resources available to employees and students.

Entering your WVU email address also ensures ITS has accurate information should you ultimately submit a request for assistance. If you have trouble locating something in the Help Center after May 19, please call the ITS Service Desk at 304-293-4444.

These changes are part of the ongoing effort to unify and standardize the way ITS operates, creating a consistent customer experience regardless of where you work. The consolidation also improves efficiency by eliminating the need to maintain two websites and ensures that HSC and WVU Medicine employees get the most accurate and current support information.

Please note that while website support requests will be made through the IT Help Center, the content won’t change on websites that continue to be overseen by HSC Communications teams:

The IT Help Center is also getting a refresh on May 19 that will offer more ways to search. Content will be organized by topics, reflecting both the most-requested subjects and under-used services. This content will be curated at certain times of year to accommodate demand; for example, we will highlight Mountaineer Card information during New Student Orientation season. Other initial topics include:

  • Health Sciences Resources
  • Account management (WVU Login and Duo two-factor authentication)
  • Software Licensing (IT Purchasing approvals, etc.)
  • College and Departmental IT Support
  • Research IT
  • eCampus

Information portals that don’t require WVU Login credentials such Parent/Guest and Retiree will appear at the bottom of the Help Center landing page.

Please direct any questions about these changes to ITSHelp@mail.wvu.edu.
