Health professions faculty, residents, fellows, clinical preceptors, program directors, and educational leaders who are passionate about advancing their teaching and educational leadership skills are invited to apply for the 2026-2028 cohort of the Longitudinal Teaching Scholars Program.

The Longitudinal Teaching Scholars Program is WVU's premier two-year faculty development program designed to help health professions educators become more effective teachers, educational leaders and scholars through hands-on learning, mentorship and practical application.

The program begins in September and consists of four in-person modules delivered over two academic years. Sessions will be held in person at the WVU Health Sciences Center South in the Chancellor and Executive Dean Suite 1000.

Through interactive workshops, expert-led instruction, collaborative learning, mentorship and a longitudinal scholarly project, participants build a strong foundation in educational theory, teaching strategies, assessment, curriculum development, leadership and educational research.
