WVU University Relations – Digital Services is launching a new web calendar system which will replace calendar.wvu.edu on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Starting on that date, all new event submissions for the web calendar must be submitted using the new system at https://cal.wvu.edu. This is a WVU-system change affecting all campuses.
Calendar events dated through June 30, 2022 that were previously approved on the old system will be imported to the new web calendar. Remaining events submitted to the old system after 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 25 will not be imported.
Event approvers and web calendar administrators should sign into the new web calendar at https://cal.wvu.edu beginning Wednesday, January 26, 2022 to approve and manage events for their respective areas. Events imported from the old system should be reviewed as soon as possible as they may require classification or content updates.
Web calendar event feeds for websites will also require updates to utilize event feeds from the new system. Calendar event administrators and website support staff should review the documentation at https://calendarhelp.wvu.edu to determine the best course of action to update their web calendar event feeds as necessary.
Health Sciences users may experience minimal downtime for calendars posted on HSC websites.
