The School of Pharmacy held its 2019 May Commencement Ceremony Saturday, May 11, at the WVU Creative Arts Center. Three PhD graduates from the School's Health Services Outcomes and Research (HSOR) program and 70 PharmD graduates participated in the ceremony.
Vice President and Executive Dean for Health Sciences Dr. Clay Marsh, School of Pharmacy Dean Dr. William Petros and Valedictorian Rachel Kolar presented speeches for the commencement ceremony.
Many of our PharmD students received awards alongside their diplomas. Jeffry Arthur, Clayton Irvine, Rachel Kolar and Lauren McCarthy received the Dean’s Outstanding Achievement Award. Kelsie Burner, Carrie Clutter, Aaron Hutchins, Amy Kennedy and Lindsay Orton received the James K. Lim Pharmacy Academic Achievement Award. Alexandra Earl, Ashley Martin and Matthew Whiteman received the Dean’s Volunteer Service Award. Joseph Hill received the Wolters Kluwer Clinical Drug Information Award for Excellence in Clinical Communication. Dina Ludovici received the APhA-ASP Senior Recognition Certificate and Mikayla Wickline received the Mylan Excellence in Pharmacy Award.
