On Wednesday, Oct. 14, West Virginia University Mountaineer mascot Reese Allen recieved his annual flu shot at the WVU School of Pharmacy. It was administered by third-year student pharmacists Elena Dye. The event, sponsored by the WVU Chapter of the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP), is part of a more extensive campaign to raise awareness about the importance of flu vaccinations and encourage West Virginians to protect themselves and others this flu season. Other students in attendance from APhA-ASP included Inez Behrens (P3), Olivia Lackovic (P4), and Haley Keffer (P3). Dr. Gretchen Garofoli, a professor in the School's Clinical Pharmacy Department, was also on hand.
