The West Virginia University School of Pharmacy and the WVU Chapter of the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP), will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of American Pharmacists Month. This year’s national theme is “Caring for Our Communities.”
LOCAL PHARMACY MONTH EVENTS
- October 2, 2024 (9:30 AM - Noon): Kick-off brunch and group photo in the Pharmacy Skills Development Center Lounge. All SoP faculty, staff and students are invited.
- October 4, 2024 (Noon): Pharmacy Day Group Photo at the Pylons.
- October 11, 2024: National Student Pharmacists Day.
- October 12, 2024: Women Pharmacist Day (#womenpharmacistday).
- October 17, 2024: National Pharmacy Technician Day (#rxtechday).
- October 18, 2024 (Noon at Okey Patteson): Dean's Hour featuring Dr. Tami Rodriguez, Director of Pharmacy Programs for the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
- October 22, 2024 (5-7 PM): OktoberPhest mixer at Short Story Brewing. All SoP faculty, staff and students are invited.
American Pharmacists Month provides an opportunity to celebrate and recognize the vital role that pharmacists and pharmacy technicians play in healthcare. WVU School of Pharmacy is proud to honor the contributions of its community and promote the value of the profession.
