The West Virginia University School of Pharmacy is hosting a three-part virtual panel series this fall, encouraging high school and college-aged students to explore pharmacy as a profession. “So, you want to be a pharmacist?” will look at the pharmacy profession from three different perspectives⏤alumni, faculty and current students.

On Tuesday, September 27 at 7:00 p.m, the School of Pharmacy will virtually host three of its alumni to discuss their careers, what they like about their work, how they found their passions in the industry and much more.

The panelists are Wesley Kafka (PharmD, ’17), BCCCP, MBA, a surgical/trauma critical care clinical pharmacy specialist for Charleston Area Medical Center; Mary Catherine Platz, PharmD, ’22), a PGY-1 WVU School of Pharmacy / Kroger community pharmacy resident; and Matt Whiteman (PharmD, ’19), BCPPS, a pediatric infectious disease and antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist.

Please mark your calendars for our faculty panel on October 19, 2022, and our current student panel on November 30, 2022, at 7 p.m.
