WVU School of Pharmacy graduate student Xiaohui Zhao (far left) was a standout at the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) conference in New Orleans this week. Zhao’s research poster and podium presentation were one of 18 selected out of 145 for the ISPOR 2019 Research Presentation Award. Professor and Interim Chairperson of the Department of Pharmaceutical Systems and Policy Department Usha Sambamoorthi (second to left) is Zhao’s advisor. Zhao is a graduate student in the School’s Health Services and Outcomes Research (HSOR) program. ISPOR is recognized globally as the leading educational and scientific organization for health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and its use in healthcare decisions.
