Program Description

The Cardiovascular Postdoctoral Pharmacy Fellowship provides advanced training for pharmacists seeking careers in clinical research, academia, and cardiovascular specialty practice. Designed to educate scientific clinicians, the program combines rigorous research training with direct patient care and teaching experiences.

Fellows will work alongside faculty and clinical experts to advance cardiovascular pharmacotherapy through outcomes research, practice innovation, and evidence-based patient care with a rural focus. The program emphasizes the application of research findings to real-world clinical practice, with opportunities to contribute to statewide and regional initiatives that improve cardiovascular health outcomes.

Graduates of the fellowship are prepared to become independent investigators, clinical specialists, and leaders in cardiovascular pharmacy practice.
