Jessica E. Kreger
Jessica E. Kreger, Pharm.D., BCPS, PMP; LCDR, United States Public Health Service. Dr. Kreger is an officer in the Commissioned Corps of the United States Public Health Service. She is currently stationed at the FDA in Silver Spring, Maryland with the Office of Generic Drugs. She is a Team Leader for Regulatory Project Managers and acts as a liaison between the FDA and generic drug companies. She received her B.S. (biology) degree from Shippensburg University in 2007 and her Pharm.D. in 2010 from the WVU School of Pharmacy.
Renee McVicker Postlethwait
Renee McVicker Postlethwait, B.S., Pharm., is Lead Pharmacist, Ambulatory Pharmacy Services, WVU Medicine Medical Center / Discharge Pharmacy. She primarily practices at the Ruby Memorial Hospital outpatient pharmacy, where she works to process and deliver new discharge medications, as well as employee prescriptions. The objective of the Discharge Pharmacy service is to be a convenience to patients and ensure that they leave with their new medications in hand and provide counseling to improve transitions of care from the hospital to home to reduce readmissions. The pharmacy’s focus is on 7 disease states of readmission, although all patients are eligible. Ms. Postlethwait received her pharmacy degree (B.S.) from the WVU School of Pharmacy in 1992.
Louis Sokos
Louis Sokos, B.S. Pharm., MBA, is Director of Allied Health Solutions, Specialty Pharmacy Services, at WVU Hospitals in in Morgantown, WV. He has been in this role since May 2014. Louis identified the need for the specialty pharmacy program in 2014 while he was in his current role as Assistant Director of Pharmacy for West Virginia University Hospitals. He identified an opportunity to better manage our specialty patients at WVU medicine due to the complicated nature of the business and the lack of clear communication and integration between outside specialty pharmacies, the WVU medicine providers and most importantly the patients. Louis has grown the specialty pharmacy operation from an employee count of one (himself) to the current number of employees which is 45 as of April 2019. The specialty pharmacy employs operational pharmacists, clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, insurance specialists, business associates and couriers. The staff is located both in the primary pharmacy location in Morgantown as well as several clinics on campus. The pharmacy is licensed in WV, PA, OH, KY, MD, and VA. Previous to this role, Mr. Sokos served as Assistant Director of Pharmacy at WVU Hospitals. He has also worked as an Infectious Disease Health Science Associate with Merck and practiced community pharmacy with Kmart, Giant Eagle and Walmart. Mr. Sokos received his pharmacy degree (B.S.) from the WVU School of Pharmacy in 1987 and his MBA from WVU in 2000.
Casey Yokum
Casey Yokum, Pharm.D., is Pharmacy Operations Manager, Allied Health Solutions, Specialty Pharmacy Services, WVU Hospitals, in Morgantown, WV. He currently manages the day to day pharmacy and clinical areas for the specialty pharmacy department. Dr. Yokum engages with industry for limited drug access, patient assistance resources, and clinical education for the pharmacy staff. He enjoys precepting student pharmacists and focusing on strategic development for the pharmacy and organization. Previously, Dr. Yokum was a manager for Rite Aid, Target, and Reeds Pharmacy, in addition to serving as a staff pharmacist at Mountaineer and Medical Center Pharmacies. He resides in Chartiers Township with his wife Alicia, son Salvatore, and daughter Antonia. Dr. Yokum received his Pharm.D. from the WVU School of Pharmacy in 2006.
Shrina Duggal
Shrina Duggal, Pharm.D., BCOP, is a clinical pharmacy specialist and provides clinical services to the medical staff and patients who are receiving treatment at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. These services include, but are not limited to, monitoring for and preventing drug interactions and adverse events, reviewing chemotherapy orders for clarity and appropriateness, monitoring drug dosing and providing recommendations for dosing based on renal or hepatic function, monitoring therapeutic drug levels and providing dosing recommendations based on those levels, recommending appropriate therapeutic approaches based on patient diagnosis, and providing basic drug information to other healthcare professionals as well as patients and their caregivers. In addition, Dr. Duggal is adjunct faculty at University of Pittsburgh and also guest lectures at Duquesne University along with precepting WVU students on APPE rotations. She earned her board certification in oncology pharmacy in 2009. Dr. Duggal has been working as a clinical pharmacy specialist in Pittsburgh since 2007. She has acquired extensive experience in both the inpatient and outpatient settings treating patients with hematological malignancies and solid tumors through her service at UPMC’s Hillman Cancer Center. Dr. Duggal received her Pharm.D. from the WVU School of Pharmacy in 2005 and completed a PGY-1 pharmacy practice and PGY2 residency in hematology/oncology/SCT at UPMC thereafter.
